Community Efforts

Charitable giving gives our business a sense of purpose, beyond just making profits. It strengthens our connection to our community and builds morale for both LR Contracting Inc. and our employees. Even a small contribution can make a big difference to our local organizations. Here are just a few of the local community efforts our company has had the privilege to donate to.

Donation Drive for Denver Hospice

The Denver Hospice is the region’s leading, largest and most trusted not-for-profit provider of life-enhancing hospice and palliative care. They offer more expertise, more resources and a more complete continuum of compassionate care to patients facing life-limiting illnesses and end-of-life transition.

American Cancer Society Charity Drive

Every cancer. Every life.

We are a leading cancer-fighting organization with a vision to end cancer as we know it, for everyone. We are improving the lives of people with cancer and their families as the only organization combating cancer through advocacy, research, and patient support, to ensure that everyone has an opportunity to prevent, detect, treat, and survive cancer.

Holiday Charity Drive with One Can Feed

Help us alleviate hunger by stocking the shelves at the Integrated Family Community Services (IFCS) Food Market.

In response to state-wide school closures, limited product availability at some grocery stores, and unprecedented unemployment, IFCS is providing food access to any person experiencing food insecurity.

Toys for Tots

LR’s yearly charity drive since 2018. LR Contracting Inc. donates $1,200.00 and a truck load of toys to Toys for Tots.

Avi (LR Contracting’s Chief Accountant), is back once again as Santa Clause for our ANNUAL “Toys for Tots drive”! This year, Santa has a few MORE sacks of toys, and they’re BIGGER than last year’s!

For the 2021 Holiday Season, LR Contracting Inc. has donated $1,200.00, and our largest truckload of toys to date.

“Toys for Tots” is a campaign ran by members of the U.S. Marine Corps, that brought 19 million toys to 7.3 Million less fortunate children in the U.S. this past year alone!

Christmas is such a magical time for the kids, and every child deserves to wake up to presents under their tree. “Toys for Tots” makes that magic possible for the children that might not have it otherwise.

The Owners, Employees, and clients of LR Contracting Inc. are excited and honored to contribute to this cause each year.

Kenzi's Causes

AURORA (August 16th, 2022) – LR Contracting Inc. donates $1,275.00 to Kenzie's Causes.

A tragedy that continues to bring hope to thousands

In 2007, Founder Jessica Bachus began her journey to giving after experiencing the immense and unexpected loss of her daughter, Kenzi who was stillborn at 24 weeks. To honor her daughter’s memory, Jessica and her family began providing dolls to young girls in Colorado who wouldn’t otherwise receive Christmas gifts. What started as a small step to impact low-income kids exploded into a movement bigger than Jessica ever imagined.

Today, Kenzi’s Causes has collected more than 100,000 toys, school supplies, books, lunch boxes, and more and continues to grow by providing more tools, resources, and programs for families who would otherwise go without.

The story of Kenzi lives on and will continue to impact a multitude of lives each and every day.

Their Mission:
To support underprivileged children and their families in Colorado by providing toys, food, and more during the holidays; school supplies and clothing during the school year; and assisting families through community outreach, financial planning and professional support.

Wildfire Relief Fund

DENVER (May 20th, 2022) – LR Contracting Inc. donates $100.00 to Redwood, CA Wildfire Relief Fund.

The California Community Foundation’s wildfire recovery fund supports intermediate & long-term recovery efforts for major California wildfires, as well as preparedness efforts.

Since 2003, the fund has granted more than $32M to support relief & recovery efforts in the aftermath of devastating California wildfires.

Grants from the Wildfire Recovery Fund have supported those who were displaced or lost housing, belongings and/or employment, or suffered physical or mental health problems; helped to rebuild homes; provided case management services, basic needs assistance, mental health services & financial assistance; upgraded 2-1-1 phone & information system; assisted California wildfire victims with follow-up medical care & supplies; provided in-home care providers, domestic workers, and day laborers with financial assistance, health & safety education; provided financial disaster aid, information on farmworker labor laws, immigration services, & immigrant rights support to low-wage immigrant or mixed status families; & provided firefighters with updated safety equipment.

Project C.U.R.E.

DENVER (July 7th, 2021) – LR Contracting Inc. donates Health & Safety Supplies and Medical Equipment to Project C.U.R.E.

Their mission: “Project C.U.R.E. identifies, solicits, collects, sorts and distributes medical supplies and services according to the imperative needs of the world.”

Project C.U.R.E is a charity that is constantly ranked as one of the top in America for their excellence, honesty, and vital service. Their focus is the prevention and treatment of diseases- such as HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, malaria, ebola, and COVID19- all around the world.

Each week, they send 4-6 semi-truck sized loads of critical medical equipment and supplies to desperate clinics and hospitals locally and internationally.

Additionally, they are dedicated to medically supporting victims of natural disasters and social crises. Not only do they provide supplies, but Project C.U.R.E has hundreds of medical professionals that volunteer their time to travel where they are needed to provide medical care, and medical training to communities around the world.

So far, Project C.U.R.E has a total of 2,078 cargo containers shipped, 134 countries served, and 146,501 annual volunteer hours. Their programs include C.U.R.E Cargo, C.U.R.E Clinics, C.U.R.E College, and C.U.R.E kits. They also hold yearly fundraising events across the country.

Family Tree, Inc.

DENVER (June 22nd, 2021) – LR Contracting Inc. donates hygiene and health safety supplies to Family Tree, Inc.

At LR Contracting, we understand that helping our community is a necessary responsibility and we are honored to give to a wonderful organization such as Family Tree. LR Contracting donated boxes of disinfectant cleaner, hand sanitizer, hygiene/cleaning wipes, mouthwash, thermometers, masks, and rubber gloves to the local Family Tree homeless shelters.
Family Tree is an effective organization that has been providing much needed services to the Denver Metro area since 1976. This organization helps our community overcome child abuse, domestic violence, and homelessness. Last year they helped 81% of homeless families using their program relocate into stable housing, and 100% of their children avoid further welfare system involvement.

Additionally, they have helped those who have experienced domestic violence and sexual assault with their crisis line, emergency shelter, legal advocacy, and other resources. All their services are available in Spanish as well.

Ralston House

DENVER (March 25th, 2021) — LR Contracting Inc. donates $500 to the Ralston House

Child Advocacy Center/C3 Group Adjusters. LR Contracting Inc. continues to show care for our community and the children of America.

LR Contracting and C3 Group Adjusters work hand in hand to help homeowners repair storm damage to their homes and make a full recovery. LR Contracting Inc, and C3 Group Adjusters also team up when it’s time to help the community. LR Contracting Inc. donates $500 to C3 Adjusters to sponsor a golf charity event. All proceeds from the golf tournament will be donated to the Ralston House.

For many of us our children are our most prized possessions. We will do whatever it takes to keep our children safe. The Ralston House provides a safe environment that enables children to express traumatic experiences to a trained therapist. In many cases children that have been abused have no place to turn.

The Ralston House was established in 1990 to provide children with a place to talk about abuse without being in fear of retaliation. The therapist at The Ralston House conduct interviews with children and investigate reports of child abuse, physical abuse, or emotional abuse without traumatizing the children in the process.

Over the last three decades, the Ralston House has saved hundreds of children from abusive environments. LR Contracting Inc. cares about the community and our children. The Office Manager at LR Contracting Inc. Nicole Bomski says, “The children are our future and every child deserves to grow up in a safe environment!”

On February 25, 2021 LR Contracting Inc. donated $500 to the C3 PA Adjustors which will be used to host the charity golf charity event at the Fox Hollow Golf Course on May 20th, 2021 at 8:00am. All proceeds generated at the golf charity event will go to the Ralston House to help with the fight against child abuse.

Salvation Army

DENVER (December 25th, 2020) — LR Contracting Inc. donated over $5,500 to Toys-for-Tots and the Salvation Army.

They are proactive in their efforts to help the community and when you work with LR Contracting Inc., you will fully “Experience the LR Difference”.

Today, there are over 50,000 families in Colorado that are in need of shelter, clothing and food. For some people, the holiday season is stressful because the families cannot purchase toys and other vital supplies for their children. That's why LR Contracting Inc. steps up to the plate yearly to help people in the community.

LR Contracting Inc. donated $5,500 to Toys-for-Tots and the Salvation Army in continuation of their annual Holiday Donation Drive. The personnel at LR Contracting Inc. donated to this cause and assembled the items at their corporate office to stuff giant red bags full of toys for the children.

LR Contracting Inc.'s Chief Accountant, Avi B., is also known as Santa Clause. In December of 2020 he dressed up once again as Santa to hand deliver giant toy bags and $5,500 on behalf of LR Contracting Inc. to Toys-for-Tots and the Salvation Army.

Cafe 180

DENVER (October 28th, 2020) — LR Contracting Inc. donates 350 Thanksgiving meal boxes to Cafe 180, a nonprofit restaurant nearby in Englewood, CO.

We are so glad to be able to make a donation to Cafe 180, a nonprofit restaurant nearby in Englewood, CO. They have a wonderful mission to feed those who are food insecure in our community. When we heard they were looking for donations to make 350 Thanksgiving meal boxes we knew we wanted to help! We love their nutritious food and have used them for catering and our employees like to stop in to make a donation and grab a healthy lunch. Local First Responders (Safety Kits)

DENVER (April 16th, 2020) — When disaster strikes a first responder's instinct is to spring into action. When our first responders needed help due to the supply shortage due to the Covid-19 outbreak LR Contracting Inc. and GotHail.CO also sprang into action. LR Contracting Inc. and GotHail.CO donated Health Safety Kits to both North Metro Fire Rescue and South Metro Fire Rescue to assist in the fight against Covid-19.

"Someone has to protect our protectors," said Office Manager Nicole B. of LR Contracting Inc. "It's important to understand that we are all in this together and our firefighters' safety is essential to our survival."
Battalion Chief at North Metro Fire Rescue John Maes said, “From all of us at North Metro Fire we appreciate your generous donation of health care packs, which include PPE, cleaning supplies, hand sanitizer and more. It is going to go to good use, thank you!”

DENVER (January 1st, 2020) —LR Contracting Inc., brings innovation and calm after the storm to Central Colorado.

We also bring calm after the storm to hundreds of children in the United States. Here at LR Contracting Inc., we believe in giving back to the community.

Our company made a donation of $1000 to Run Rich Run & Saint Jude Research Hospital, which is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases.

Habitat for Humanity (Denver)

DENVER (January 1st, 2017) —The LR Contracting Inc. charity drive successfully raised donations of over $2,500 in the fall and winter of 2016. Thank you to all who donated!

Apartment Life

Apartment Life is a faith-based, non-profit organization that has been serving the apartment industry since 2000. They believe every individual is created for community and that they are called to love their neighbor as their selves.

Their goal is to live this out while providing strong business value to apartment owners.

As a faith-based organization, they are committed to Fair Housing guidelines to ensure that all residents are treated fairly, equally, and consistently. All of their employees are trained in Fair Housing guidelines.

City Square

Local to Denver - "CitySquare Denver is a one-stop shop for Denver neighbors in need. It provides bread, pastries, produce, family groceries, and homeless packs to any one who comes to its doors. While at CitySquare Denver, neighbors can share a light lunch, use the restroom, use a computer, and just rest for a while. We also offer referrals to help neighbors access health care, as well as job and housing assistance.

Movement 5280

Local to Denver - "It began in October, 2010. We wanted to open a place for homeless and at-risk youth... a hot meal, friendship, a refuge.

Now, almost two years later, 5280 is FAMILY!! A group of volunteers open the doors of 5280 several days a week...AND, if we could, it would be seven days a week!"

Military Family

Military Family Lifestyle Charitable Foundation, Inc. (MFLCF) will provide our military members and their families the dignity and respect owed them by our Nation for their commitment and selfless service in preserving the freedoms we all enjoy. MFLCF will accomplish this task by generating revenue through fundraising events and programs that help support the financial, physical, and emotional needs of military members and their families.

Boys & Girls Clubs

Their mission is to enable all young people, especially those who need them most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.

Denver Children's Home

LR Contracting Inc. just completed an Annual Holiday Drive with all donations benefitting the Denver Children's Home. With donations collected from our employees, clients, and our company we were able to submit a sizeable donation the week before Christmas.

The Denver Children's Home posted on their website that it was a record breaking Holiday donation year for them! We are proud to have contributed to such a worthy cause that helps our community and so thankful to all of those that supported our Annual Holiday Drive.

Safehouse

SafeHouse Denver was born out of the community’s desperate need for an emergency shelter for women and children living with domestic violence.

Community professionals were working with large numbers of women on a variety of issues, and it was found that the underlying problem was actually domestic violence. However, there was no safe place for these women to go to escape the violence in their own homes. There was also no language with which to truly articulate their experiences.

Their Mission:
SafeHouse Denver assists adults, children and youth in reclaiming their right to a life free from domestic violence.

Denver Rescue Mission

Denver Rescue Mission has been serving the most vulnerable in our community for more than 128 years. Their history is rooted in a love of Christ and a commitment to share that love with others.

At multiple locations throughout our community, they help restore the lives of people experiencing homelessness and addiction through emergency services, rehabilitation, transitional programs, and community outreach.
